Tuesday, Feb. 23rd
After a year like no other, we feel we should take the opportunity to celebrate whenever possible. We’re celebrating hope in this new year, a vaccine, and our own potential as smart, experienced women as we look ahead.
Oh yes, and NextTribe just passed its fourth birthday! Such a youngster.
Norma Kamali, one of our speakers, has a new book called I Am Invincible, and we’re borrowing that mighty word for our Virtual Out Loud event–an evening of singing, dancing, and reminders by accomplished women what aging boldly looks like and what we can achieve and contribute in this chapter of life.
This is more than just another Zoom session. Come for the fun, the camaraderie, the inspiration, and prizes too!
Closer to the date of the show, you will receive instructions on how to access the digital platform, where you’ll be able to browse and actually shop at our virtual vendor booths and take part in the action.

Schedule (come for any or all parts):
5pm ET, 4 pm CT, 3 pm MT, 2 pm PT
NextTribe Virtual Happy Hour sponsored by Barrelsmith
Join in to raise a glass with other women from across the country. A great way to meet like-minded women. We’re celebrating connection, potential, boldness, and (we hope) a better 2021. And, if we can be so bold to put this on the celebration list: NextTribe’s 4th birthday!
We are thrilled to welcome Barrelsmith as a sponsor of our virtual Happy Hour. Barrelsmith is a new woman-owned spirits company that offers craft cocktails barrel-aged to perfection. They’re ready to pour and enjoy. Martha Outlaw, co-owner of Barrelsmith, will be on hand to talk to you about their cocktails: Negroni, Manhattan, and Boulevardier. Martha will be giving away bottles and other merchandise as prizes through out the Happy Hour.

Music on the Main Stage, sponsored by Tito’s Vodka
We’re thrilled to host performances by Maya Azucena, Lurleen Ladd, and Sara Hickman (one of our 2020 Women of the Year), and Lurleen Ladd. And a few NextTribe members who have submitted their music videos for the event.
While the music is being performed, attendees can visit our sponsors’ virtual vendor booths to find products made specifically for women our age OR products from companies owned by NextTribe members. A great opportunity to support creative, entrepreneurial women.
Norma Kamali will be in her booth from 6:30 to 7:30 pm ET, so you don’t want to miss your chance to chat with her before she gets on the Main Stage to speak.
Attendees are invited to participate in a scavenger hunt to be eligible for prizes at the end of the event.

Mainstage Speakers
We have an all-star line up of speakers and contributors. The actress Fran Dresher; Maya Wiley, the former MSNBC legal analyst and current NYC mayoral candidate; the fashion designer Norma Kamali; Jill Angelo, the CEO and co-founder of Gennev, one of our sponsors; and NextTribe’s good friend Marta Kauffman, co-creator of Friends and Grace and Frankie.
We’ll also have a short break between speakers for an interactive “Movement Choir,” choreographed by the innovative Forklift Danceworks.
During the event, we’ll be checking in with the artist Tina Duryea (another 2020 Women of the Year), who will be sketching portraits of our speakers. The finished portrait will be one of the prizes in our scavenger hunt.

Dance Party sponsored by Gennev
Our wonderful, energetic friend Amy Kawadler, a jewelry artist when she’s not dancing, has put together a dynamite playlist of dance music that we’ll all recognize. As she leads us through some disco moves, attendees will be invited to visit more vendor booths because women like us CAN do two things at once, right?
Thank you to our wonderful Sponsors:
