Guess what’s getting a reboot? The movie Halloween, 40 years after it first gave us goosebumps—with its creepy soundtrack, triggered nightmares of masked creepers coming after us—and introduced the lovely Jamie Lee Curtis to audiences.
Curtis, now 59, has proved her comedic skills in many movies, as well as added best-selling author to her list of accomplishments. But now she’s reprising her original “scream queen” role as the menaced-by-a-maniac Laurie Strode. After being locked away for decades, her stalker gets loose from prison and….yeah, he’s back to his old tricks, not treats. But is she ever ready. You’ll find out what actually happens when the movie is released on October 19th.
The project reunites Curtis with the original film’s director John Carpenter, who executive-produced this movie and served as creative consultant. Apparently the results are completely terrifying. Says Curtis proudly, “It’s going to scare the living sh*t out of you!” Who’s up for that?
