Sara Lukinson is a three-time Emmy award winning writer and film producer of documentaries and television specials. Her films have been shown on network television, PBS, and HBO. She has written many significant national events, including New York City’s annual 9/11 Ceremonies at Ground Zero and the recent opening of the African-American Museum. She produced the film biographies for the “Kennedy Center Honors,” for thirty-five years. Her award wining films range from “Itzhak Perlman: In the Fiddler’s House,” to the Obama Inauguration concert at Lincoln Memorial: “We Are One.” She edited the book, “September Morning,” a collection of the poetry she used in the 9/ll Ceremonies. Her personal essays have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Feathered Flounder.
