Guess who’s back on screen after a separation of almost 40 years? Yup, Jane Fonda and Robert Redford.
Fonda and Redford, who first paired up as a couple in 1967’s “Barefoot in the Park” and then in 1979’s “The Electric Horseman.” They’re together again in the new Netflix series, “Our Souls at Night,” based on the novel by the late Kent Haruf and debuting September 29.
The story of two widowed 70something neighbors who embrace romance has been hailed as a tender love story and lesson in late-in-life romance.
Fonda, however, seems to have felt more heat while filming. “I live for sex scenes with him…he’s a great kisser,” the actress told the press at the Venice Film Festival. Watch for yourself and see if you see sparks fly.
