Say Hi to Trish Marcrum, from Sewickley, PA.
What are you passionate about right now?
Aging boldly! Staying fit. Trying new and scary things. Taking risks. Realizing dreams.
What’s the most important thing you do every day?
Strength training and a two mile walk start my day. I’ve taken care of my body and can go on to conquer the world. Or just get some sh*t done.
Who do you think is the best role model for Aging Boldly and why?
My Nana. She never stopped asking questions and learning. One time my brother and I lost her at a mall and we found her in a shoe-store talking with some purple-haired, Mohawk sporting punk rockers. She just wanted to know what made them tick.
What’s your personal motto for Aging Boldly?
Step out of your comfort zone a little every day. Love your age but stay connected to youth.
What countries are on your bucket list?
Most of Europe and the UK.
If you could live any where in the world where would it be?
Right where I am, until I decide to move.
How do you cope with the current craziness in our political world?
I still comment on social media but never post. And I try to weed out the unimportant stuff in order not to waste my time and energy.
What will you be doing in 10 years?
I hope to have a writing career and some grandkids to spoil and send home. And traveling to some of those countries on my bucket list.
What would you tell your younger self?
Get an earlier start on aging boldly. Embrace your true self, it’s the best thing you’ve got. Stop wasting time and energy trying to please everyone, and get going on the things you know you need to do. But don’t panic…. it’s never to late and it’s really fun to learn things in mid-life. NEVER STOP LEARNING.
