Once again, Kate Stone Lombardi offers an important perspective on dealing with grown children. This week, in her story, “Hey, Over-Invested Moms: It’s Not Your Relationship,”she discusses how involved we should get with our children’s significant others. Earlier she looked at whether the old saying, “A son is a son till he takes a wife” was necessarily true. Her focus on family is nothing new. For seven years she wrote a popular regional column for The New York Times that focused on family issues. Her work has also appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Time, Ladies Home Journal, Parenting Magazine and other national publications. Lombardi is the author of The Mama’s Boy Myth: Why Keeping Our Sons Close Makes Them Stronger, published by Avery, part of the Penguin Group (USA).
