There are two very good reasons for you to consider a trip to Paris before the holidays.
- The dollar is at parity with the Euro, a record high that means 1€ equals 1$. Prices there have never been more affordable.
- NextTribe has a Paris expert who will consult with you before the trip about what you want to see, do, buy while in the City of Light and will create a customized itinerary for you and be on the trip to guide you around.
Our NextTribe trip to France in June was such a fun adventure that we wanted to offer others a chance to experience Paris the way locals do. Our Paris expert, Ellen Williams, has written guidebooks to Paris and knows all the nooks and crannies and great shops, antique stores, flea markets, and food halls.
Ellen will meet with you on Zoom before the trip to find out what activities or sights you especially want to check off. She will come up with a customized itinerary for you. (FYI, as with our trip in June, we are assuming that our guests have been to Paris before. We will not be doing the traditional sights such as the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower or Versailles. If you want to take those in, please come early or stay late.)

This is how Ellen perceives the trip: “Our aim is to start each day with a tailor-made plan for each of you to best spend your time. Maybe you’ll choose to go with another member of the group to a particular store, then have lunch at a recommended café and/or take in a museum before meeting up with the rest of us. We want you to feel both free to do as you wish—supported with lots of suggestions and directions—and/or welcome to blissfully suspend all your executive thinking and join the group on one of several daily outings to great shopping streets and charming Paris quarters brimming with fabulous shops. On the weekend, we’ll explore the delightful flea market at the Porte de Vanves for one-of-a-kind vintage treasures.”
We will spend 5 nights at Hotel Au Manoir, the same delightful inn that we called home in June. The location is excellent, near transportation, culture, shops, the Seine River. During the day, you are free to follow the itinerary that Ellen made for you by yourself or with someone else on the trip interested in the same items. Ellen may or may not join you, depending on how independent you want to be. On a few days, we may go to a special shopping hub or an interesting exhibition at a museum together.
We will all go to dinner together, at restaurants that have earned Ellen’s seal of approval (and she is a tough critic).
