We Know It’s Early But…What Do You REALLY Want for Christmas?

Christmas Wishlist: What Do You REALLY Want for Christmas? | NextTribe

How did it get to be November already?! It’s time to put together our first annual NextTribe Gift Guide, and we need your help. We want to create a guide that’s specially designed for fun, engaged women like us. Not some lame list that will stock January’s trip to the Salvation Army. Tell us:

  • What is the cool must-have gift you hope to receive this holiday season that is perfect for us Aging Boldly types? Brand names welcome.
  • What is the gift you most definitely don’t want to receive? (Burnt out on slippers, hand cream? Do tell!)
  • What is the intangible gift you’d like this year? Maybe it’s some type of service or event? Or is there something that doesn’t even involve the exchange of money that would light up your holiday season?

If we choose your idea, of course we’ll credit you here on NextTribe—and send you one of our cool, comfy NextTribe tees.  So fill us in… and thank you!

The (Next)Tribe Has Spoken: Here are the Beauty Habits That are Working For Us at Midlife

We asked and the tribe has spoken—and you had some pretty enlightening things to say about what beauty tips are (and aren’t) working for you now. In a survey we posted a couple weeks ago, you loyal readers shared your best beauty habits and other intel—from how many products you’re using to what celebs you look up to as beauty icons (Helen Mirren, Cindy Gallop, Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda and Helen Mirren—did we mention Helen Mirren?).

A big take-away? We’re not spending a huge amount of time on beauty. About 46 percent of you responded you spend 30 total minutes a day on grooming. And that’s the whole shebang: Combined makeup, hair, skincare for morning and night on a routine day. And while 46 percent of us claim to spend more time on beauty than 20 years ago, some (12 percent, to be exact) are doing less.
