Between the three of them, they have 220 years of experience, talent, and guts. Happy Birthday this month to Tina Turner and two other cultural powerhouses.

A trio of cultural icons are about to blow out some candles, and we thought we’d give them a round of applause for another year of impressing and inspiring us. They’ve achieved amazing things and continue to be models of the NextTribe motto, Age Boldly.

Nov. 3rd: Anna Wintour, 70 

Style arbiter Anna Wintour strides into her 70s on November 3rd. The longtime editor of Vogue and the inspiration behind the powerful, demanding diva in The Devil Wears Prada, Wintour is one of the few fashion journalists to become a household name. Known for her faultless sense of style and fierce professionalism, she’s been featured lately in those “Master Class” ads that are everywhere, telling her audience how to trust their gut. Tres chic.

Nov. 8th: Bonnie Raitt, 70

Bonnie Raitt, blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter, has been givin’ us something to talk about, as one of her hits says, for decades now, and she is still going strong. Though she has recently toured with Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits fame, Raitt’s roots-y sound has been part of our aural landscape, with great grooves and rich emotion—try listening to “I Can’t Make You Love Me” without tearing up. A winner of 10 Grammy awards, she’s also known for her activism, including being a founder of Musicians United for Safe Energy.

Nov. 26th: Tina Turner, 80 

Entering her 80th year on November 26th is the powerhouse singer and songwriter Tina Turner, who can also count actor and author as her professions. Turner rose to fame with her then-husband Ike, survived domestic abuse, got divorced, and launched an incredibly successful solo career. She’s won 12 Grammy awards, a Kennedy Center Honor, and plenty more praise. Plus, she’s known for being the woman who taught Mick Jagger and a generation of music fans how to dance with her signature, stellar moves. What’s talent got to do with it? Quite a lot.
